Quality
The establishment of SeaBird’s Quality Management System (QMS) has been in progress since end of Q4 2006. The SeaBird QMS Manual, which is in the review stage, addresses the quality systems requirements specified in the International Organization
of Standardization 9001:2000 in relation to the Group’s seismic survey operations and maritime services.
SeaBird models its QMS on the ISO requirements [while considering a full registration]; and will be progressively implementing an ISO-equivalent QMS by Q4 2007. An effective QMS will position SeaBird toward:
- meeting clients’ expectation of performance, standards, cost and delivery;
- increasing growth opportunities in specific markets;
- safer operations, improved performance and better profitability.
