SeaBird Group is committed to the preservation of health and the prevention of diseases of our personnel. Q4 2006 marked a more proactive approach to providing the preventive means against many occupational hazards. The Smoking Policy was revisited and re-issued. A number of strategies are in place to improve work environments; for instance, noise control and hearing conservation, control measures against risks related to workplace ergonomics.
Occupational hygiene monitoring was carried out by locations/vessels, including personal hygiene facilities audits.
During 2006, no occupational disease cases were reported.
