SeaBird Exploration strives to deliver industry-leading returns for our shareholders – via fostering HSSEQ partnerships with our employees, clients, subcontractors, local communities, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders – which are founded on operations integrity, communication transparency and mutual value-creation.
Year 2006 had been a challenging yet exciting milestone for the Group’s HSSEQ Department. The reorganization of SeaBird Group’s business units, along with its expansion in business size and scope, has brought about significant HSSEQ resources realignment and systems
improvement:
1. Establish ‘local’ HSSEQ presence at each location (Norway, Dubai, Trondheim and Houston); while developing a more robust ‘field support’ structure. The personnel plan is to assign one ‘Field HSSEQ Advisor’ per three vessels.
2. Review the HSE Management Systems from top down: Policies, Plans, Procedures, Programmes, Implementation and Review.
3. Develop quantifiable HSSEQ objectives, which are integrated into long-term departmental goals.
4. Implement incremental HSSEQ initiatives, including the automation of HSSEQ documentation/communication/work flow process.
