Health and Safety Policy

SeaBird Exploration and its subsidiaries strive to provide their personnel with healthy and safe working conditions; and to promote sound operating practices that comply with or exceed applicable national/international regulations and relevant standards/ guidelines concerning Health and Safety (hereinafter referred to as H & S). H & S performance is one of SeaBird’s core values, which shall be managed as an integral part of SeaBird’s business to benefit its stakeholders.

SeaBird Exploration’s primary Health and Safety objectives are:

  • Integration of H & S aspects in all SeaBird’s business decisions;
  • Prevention of occupational incidents;
  • Safeguards against all seismic and marine operational risks;
  • Establishment of H & S responsibility and accountability through line management;
  • Promotion of employee H & S participation and contributions;
  • Compliance with relevant international / national / local H & S regulations, legislations, guidelines and industry best practices.

SeaBird Exploration shall achieve the above-defined H & S endeavors by:

  • Committing to common, shared H & S purposes by all levels of SeaBird personnel;
  • Allocating sufficient organizational resources to H & S matters;
  • Proactively managing operational risks inherent in seismic data acquisition;
  • Emphasizing that working safely is a condition of employment;
  • Accepting individual responsibility and accountability for H & S fulfillment;
  • Thoroughly involving in H & S-related activities including meetings, audits, reviews, training, hazard management, incident investigations and follow-ups;
  • Encouraging employees' suggestions for measures aimed at improving H & S performance;
  • Rewarding H & S accomplishment when safety targets are met;
  • Regularly reviewing all mandatory rules, regulations, industry codes and guidelines that are relevant to specific vessel types and trades;
  • Ensuring unvarying adherence to the documented operating procedures by an internal system of verification, implementation and correction;
  • Maintaining high standards for safety awareness, personal discipline and individual accountability by adhering to a comprehensive and documented system of training;
  • Participating in H & S internal and external initiatives.

SeaBird Exploration CEO and/or his assigned Deputy assume full authority to establish an operational Health, Safety and Environmental Management System; and to vigilantly assess the importance of its application and the values of its diligence.
